Happy Ending for Julius

After the crazy and most likely scary day that Julius had, he found a home with a caring women who has a female duck and a pig for his companionship. The best part, a heated pond for him to swim in. Momma is very happy that he will have the wonderful life he deserves and that she won't have to clean up duck poop.

I took Julius (I named him) to a very kind lady who works for a vet clinic nearby, he will be well taken care of. She is suppose to call me with a update on his condition in the future.

Fiona & Ali's momma here: Cat bloggers & parents I need your help!

It is a very cold and snowy day in Ohio today, I stopped off at my local gas station this morning and found the "plastic bag" by my front tire to be a Pekin duck. He is a boy as he has a curled tail feather and obviously someones pet because he lets me touch him, not to mention Pekin ducks are farm ducks and not wild. I couldn't leave him outside to die so I picked him up and brought him to work with me. So here I am waiting for our wildlife rescue to call me back but in the meantime I am hoping someone can shed some light for me about ducks.

Three Things Meme

My most regal and extremely handsome meezer from across the pond has tagged myself to do a fun little meme. Here is how it works:

What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?

1. I would sneak out of the house and sew my wild kitten oats. I try to do that now but momma always catches me or I pick the wrong day and almost freeze my little behind right off.

2. I would eat all the treats in my house and not let Ali have any of them. Again I try to do that now but daddy rations them out and then hides the bag from me.

3. I would eat a whole stick of butter because butter is delicious and makes me go crazy when I see momma using it.

First and most important Thank you to everycat for the warm welcome back!

Well our oldest furless sibling has been throwing up human size hairballs for the last two days! Let us tell you it is nothing like our petite cat sized hairballs either. Momma had to get up late on Monday night to clean up his bed and floor (doesn't he know carpet or rugs is the best place to put them?). We hope momma gets him some malt paste to stop them or some of that hairball cat food, maybe they make it for beans.

We promise to get some more recent pictures up very soon, believe or not Fiona hasn't really grown that much and she will be a year old in March. She is still kitten sized with a kitten sized meow. Ali is still handsome and debonair.

First off we want to tell everycat and person, we missed them so much and that we kept updated on there life even if we didn't comment on there blog!
Ali especially missed Miss Peach and understands that she has moved onto a mancat that could be there for her when he could not and for that he thanks Mickey, so very much and wishes them the very best.
Fiona of course sends warm wishes and whisker kisses to Yao-lin.

Of course we have some explaining to do.... Why haven't we posted in over 5 months?

Mommy has no real good excuse, other then many life events took place and she has been more lazy then usual.
You see; momma is pregnant with our future furless sibling. The little human is schedule to make an appearance in August 2008.

So we hope you all will forgive us and know that we will make our very best effort to keep you updated about our life and comment on your blogs.

We have chosen Dobby the chihuahua because he is very smart and cat friendly. We hope by having him as our friend he can help Ali over come his fear of doggies. He has three kitty siblings that he gets along with especially his cat brother Merlyn , so he was a perfect choice. Most recently his parents brought home a new little doggie sister for him which is something Ali & him have in common, YUCK to little sisters! Guess What?

Fiona can do tricks! She can sit (So can I), she can give paw (I just learned to do that) & she can do high five (I am stubborn and don't want to do this trick). She learned all those things within a week & a half, she started doing the high five in a day! So momma is going to get the camera charged up and take a video of her doing all these things and me doing what I can do.

Who says you can't teach a young cat new tricks!

Guess what everycat? Our momma & daddy gave us a bath yesterday! Ali gave daddy some very nice war wounds, daddy was going to give us both our bathes by himself. Momma had to help him with Ali though, Ali was very sad and kept crying for Miss Peach to come and help him. I cannot believe the nerve of these humans, don't they know our tongues clean us and smelling like a litter box is actually a nice smell.

I, Fiona Monkey Face Elizabeth, bite my momma's hand all the time. See I like to curl up on or very close to momma, then I turn on my motor real loud so she has to pet me, then I sit there and chew,chew,chew on her hand until she cannot take the pain. She thinks I am teething but I am not sure cats teethe? Sometimes I lick her hand, so she doesn't take it personal and then I CHOMP down.

Thursday Thirteen - Things we did this week

Snooped around while momma cooked, mostly Fi because she is a mini, furry vacuum cleaner.

Momma called Fifi a "monkey face" because momma thinks Fiona looks like a little monkey.

Knocked over the garbage can just this morning

Ali cried and scratched at the rents door and then cried some more when he was allowed in their room.

Made lots of stinky doo doo's in the litter box.

Sat on the table while momma and daddy ate there lunch, then Ali was given the rest of daddies cheezburger.

Fiona squeaked and mipped (the other sound she makes) for treats, scraps and crumbs.

Sat in the kitchen window looking for bugs, animals and stray cats to give the evil eye too.

Shed our furs all over the furniture

Ali stood on daddy while he was in bed and MEOW for no real reason other then to hear himself MEOW!

Fiona ate dead bugs

Fifi farted a squillion times on or around mommas face. She has serious butt issues.

It has descriptions on many different cat breeds and under the oriental shorthair breed description, it has a picture of a kitten that looks just like Luxor! In other news I got a pretty new harness that is purple with daisy's (not the lovely Daisy cat) on it, I will have momma post a picture of me in it ASAP. Ali already had a blue harness so it was only fair that I finally got one. I really enjoyed exploring the jungle, I hunted bugs and leafs then momma rudely picked me up and took me inside! HUMPF! Hopefully tomorrow I will get to go on another adventure.

Hi to all our great friends,

There will be a blog for Mancat Monday today but momma couldn't get our camera to work last night so she is hoping it just needed charged.

The housewarming was fun for our parents because they got some nice gifts & stayed up late into the night with there friends. We on the other hand got stuck in our parents room for most of the party because momma had the bright idea to ask one of there friends to bring his woofie to our house, she thought we would play and have fun. Well the woofie scared Ali so bad he was shaking, I hissed and spit at the dumb old thing, so in turn to make us calm down, momma stuck us in kitty prison.

Note from momma:

They had to windows to look out in kitty prison, food, litter box & our large bed to sleep on, so it wasn't like prison at all more like a giant kitty condo.

Thursday Thirteen - Momma Edition

This week we tell all kinds of juicy details about our momma:

1. Momma became pregnant at 17 years old & gave birth to her son at 18 years old. She was a unwed mother like a lot of momma kitties on here.

2. She was married to her sons father at 19 years old & separated from him by 20 years old. She would like to note she finally got a divorce from him two years ago but she would have liked it to have been a lot sooner.

3. She has been with her fiancee for 7 years.

4. Momma used to volunteer at the Toledo Zoo but it became to much like a 2nd job.

5. Momma has had the same best friend since she was 15 years old, her name is Megan.

6. Momma would like to have been a vet or vet assistant but blood makes her a little queasy.

7. She used to loath bugs/insect (she had us put both because there is a difference between bugs & insects) but has since gotten over her fear to the point where she can pick most creepy crawlers up without thinking twice.

8. Her first cat was an orange tabby named custard (named after Strawberry Shortcakes cat), he was a indoor/outdoor cat.

9. She loves to swim, not sports type swimming but just fun swimming.

10. Her current favorite TV show is The Mighty Boosh, which is on the BBC, she wonders if Yao-lin and his family watch it?

11. She only has one child

12. She is an only child

13. She is an Aquarius.

Well my brother wanted me to post some hints about his secret crush as my crush is pretty obvious (hint, hint, Yao-Lin) and since my brother is older and allowed to date he would like to profess his feelings for this sweet lady cat but first he would like to play coy and see if this special lady has the same feelings for him. So he is going post some clues about her:

She has lovely wavy furs, and they are a heavenly shade of amber and white.

She is very much a lady and deserves to be treated as such.

She is older in years but her heart is young and beautiful.

First Five Days Meme

My First 5 Days In My New FOREVER Home... I was tagged by my BFF Celeste.

Day One: I was a little sleepy because of my lady garden surgery on the previous day. I was brought home in a ptu box but like Celeste my momma let me out, only not like Celeste I explored the whole car and made it very difficult for momma to drive, luckily she didn't have to far to drive. I was locked in my human brothers room for unknown reasons, I am very suspicious. My new momma, (whom I am very familiar with because she & my non furry brother came over to my foster home to visit and play with me) slept with me & her son in his bed so that I wouldn't get scared.

Day Two: Again still locked in this room and I was starting to get antsy. My momma and not so hairy brother would visit and play with me, so it made the time go by quicker.

Day Three: I was starting to get pretty upset as I could smell some strange animal on the other side of the door and occasionally I could hear meowing (I was hoping it was only momma trying to make me feel at home).

Day Four: I was finally let out of the prison cell for a hour, and I got to explore & play. Thankfully I did not run into any cats but I could smell it.

Day Five: This day was very exciting and intense, when momma' came home for lunch she let me out of the cell and this time did not make me go back inside. A very large tom cat came around to sniff me which made me fold my ears back and hiss, I could tell he was very scared. Though he still sniffed me and then try to LICK ME! Can you believe the nerve. It was a very long day and I was hoping that this other cat would realize his place & that I am top cat.

Well there you have it and that cat (Ali) still thinks he is tougher then me.

This week we will focus on our hometown, Toledo, Ohio:

One of the best rock and roll bands in the country during the late 1950s and early 1960s was Johnny and the Hurricanes. All of the members of the original Hurricanes were from the Toledo area. Their leader, Johnny Paris, was from Rossford, Ohio, just across the Maumee River.

Actor, Jamie Farr of M*A*S*H fame, hails from Toledo, having grown up not far from where Riverside Hospital stands.

To resolve the brief but fabled Toledo War, Ohio acquired land settlements that became Toledo and Michigan acquired the Upper Peninsula.

Tony Packo's hot dog sauce has been in outer space aboard the space shuttle Columbia in 1997.

Some of Toledo's nicknames over the years have included "The Glass City", "Frogtown", and "A Renaissance City".

The R&B smash-hit artist, Anita Baker, was born in Toledo, OH.

The Toledo area became part of the Northwest Territory in 1787.

Toledo Inventor, Michael Owens developed the world's first automated bottle-blowing machine, revolutionizing the bottle industry.

The Toledo Zoo, consistently rated as one of the nation's ten best, was the first zoo to feature a hippoquarium-style exhibit. *Note: Momma was a volunteer at the Toledo Zoo*

In honor of the "sister city" relationship between Toledo, Ohio and Toledo, Spain, the Toledo Zoo incorporated Spanish architecture into their building design throughout the zoo.

The Toledo Zoo was started in 1900 with the donation of a woodchuck to the City of Toledo.

Toledo native Jason Cameron was the one of the carpenters on the hit TLC show, "While You Were Out", and is currently the host of "Desperate Landscapes" on the DIY Network. He has also done commercials and appeared in TV shows like "Sex in the City", "Guiding Light" and "All My Children".

Accumulating snowfall in the months of May and October are extremely rare episodes in Toledo. Strangely 1989 saw both! (On May 7th & October 19th). It's the only time Toledo has ever had this occur in the same calender year!

Thursday Thirteen: Getting to know us edition

1. Fiona has pretty green/gold eyes

2. Ali is a snuggle bug, he could snuggle all day

3. Our momma is 27 year old

4. Fiona Hissed at Ali the first time she met him.

5. Fiona's real brother was almost adopted but he got sick and wasn't adoptable.

6. Our momma has one nine year old son.

7. Ali has weakness in his back legs, that is only a problem when he trys running through the house on our pergo floors.

8. Fiona has a sister who has extra toes.

9. Our momma is a office manager, though she doesn't actually manage anyone.

10. Momma met Ali when she originally went to adopt Fiona & her brother, but Fiona & her sibling weren't big enough to get there hoo ha's removed.

11. Momma is engaged to be married to a super awesome man.

12. Fiona's name was Princess Fiona but she dropped the Princess because she is really a Queen in training.

13. Ali is named after our daddies favorite boxer, Muhammad Ali.

Fiona here~ I am introducing myself and my adopted brofur Ali to blogging, we were inspired by smart kitties like Skeezix, Jeter Harris, Daisy the Curly Cat & Yao Lin (these are just some the inspirational kitties, we would fill a whole page if we named them all). I am 10 weeks old and Ali is a year old (he had a rough start but is a fighter and made it through with no hard feelings towards humans or kitties).
