Our mommas head is spinning trying to figure out the best litter for her to use, there are so many choice. So she wants to know what your parents use by please voting on our poll located to the right. THANK YOU!
Riley loves World's Best so much that he refuses to use our new litterbox. It's called a Cat Genie and it has washable granules instead of litter and all the yucky stuff flushes down the drain. It's pretty expensive though, so that's why we voted for World's Best. I like them both.
Only one choice: Pine litter, made from 100% recycled pine. The maid gets it from petsmart, 20 lb. for about $ 8, "ExquisiCat", environmentally friendly and biodegradable. And there are no little crumbs or dust that you can get into your eyes when you bury your business. And wouwh, can you bury around with that stuff! And the personal seems satisfied with it too.
We use the clumping litter! But that crystal litter sounds quite intriguing, too... (Mom...?)
Ali, your ideas about the aviary or the aquarium sound equally delightful! Perhaps they would serve us all dinner there. I wonder what darling Mickey thinks.
We use Easy Clean clumping litter, daddy says it's good and he's the one who does the cleaning of the litter box. (Mommy is not allowed to due to her health). And we've been happy with it.
I think we use EverClean, but now after reading Marie's post, I'm wondering. Okay, Mom checked. It's Ever Clean. She tried loads of litter - pine, corncob, newspaper, World's Best - but this is the one she (and we) like best.
I like 'fresh step' in my new litter boxy. It smells good. Sometimes mommy mixes it with other kinds, but it by itself is really the best for me. I also have another box that stays close to my foody diah area. It is a little wash tub that mommy keeps 6 folded papertowels in. I use it for pee pee only when the urge comes and I can't make it to the pantry one. We older cats need lots more consideration and comfort. I like the idea of diamonds and sapphires that Daisy has...she is so classy:) Love always your little Peachy. I think I will go to sleep now that I have eaten so many of your bonbons. You are so sweet to know just what I like. Dark chocolate with lemon or orange, raspberry too, and MARZIPAN:)))
Something is wrong with the voting machine! We voted for feline pine but the vote doesn't show up... Clumping litter is good for humans because less work, but we think feline pine is healthier for us cats! Just trying to make a point - I am known to be stubborn. Anastasia
Wowie ALI....thats some song....scarrret me when it came on allby itself:) How did you do that? Mine has to push the green button. Makes me want to rock and roll instead of waltz... can you dance? Love your girl...peach
Boy it's funny you mention this...Daddy did it to us again. HE bought the wrong litter and put it into our boxes and we wouldn't use it. Momma made him go out and buy us our TidyCats and replace the bad stuff with the good stuff and we filled up the boxes. Like good kitty cats.
I don't know why he would buy us the wrong stuff and think we wouldn't notice...I wonder how they would feel about having to us an outhouse instead of their indoor litter box?
We voted "other." We use Swheat Scoop. It's kind of expensive (40 pounds for $22), but it's all natural and Momma doesn't worry so much when Titus goes litterbox surfing (which he does a lot). It clumps up pretty well and it doesn't smell - but Momma scoops at least once a day, so that might be part of it. Momma adds more litter every couple of weeks as the litterboxes (we have two boxes) get low (we like lots and lots of litter in our boxes so we can dig and dig and dig) and then dumps everything, washes the boxes, and starts over every 3 or 4 months. A 40 lb bag lasts through all that.
We love Feline Pine (or a pine litter like that). It doesn't stick like scoopable so no tracking and can be flushed down the toilet so less garbage being dumped. It also smells really good. Pine litter (like the Cat Realm has)is a good brand too for similar reasons. We use that too when on sale because it is similar. It doesn't have dust that bothers mommy's nose and contacts either.
Ali: He was adopted from the humane society at about one year old, he came into the shelter with bite wounds on his butt, flank & hoo-ha, he was skinny, had fleas and ear mites but you would never know it to meet him now. He is very loving and handsome. He enjoys talking, tuna stinky goodness, a long snuggle & his rabbit tail toy.
Fiona: Her litter was being foster by her now momma's sister-in-law, she was 1 of 4 all black kittens. She enjoys practicing to be a queen kitty one day, purring, putting her rabbit tail toy in her food dish & general kitten stuff.

We LOVE the crystal litter. It is virtually dust free! And I am pretty sure it is made up of tiny diamonds and sapphires.

Purrs and snuggles from Marilyn!
Momma added another link to our wishlist below the other one, that one should work.

We just use Petgold Indoor from Petco. It works well and we like it, but it is a bit dusty.

We love the crystals. They aren't all that cheap but they save a lot of labor for Meowmy.

Are we too late to weigh in?
We use pine litter, too. We get ours at Trader Joe's. It's much less dust than our previous litter (Fresh Step), and it's better for our kitty lungs.
Sometimes we use Yesterday's News brand, too... which is recycled newspapers.
